Where to donate books

BOOK DONATION GUIDELINES

If you would give the book as a gift to a child that you know, then we’re happy to give it to a child that we know!

Generally, books that were printed in this millennium are acceptable.

BOOKS WE NEED THE MOST

Books with Diverse Characters: Stories, reflecting our community 

Children's hardcover and paperback books on a wooden surface, including titles like "The World Shines for You," "The Gruffalo," "Ducks Away!," "The Tiger Who Came to Tea," and others, with some book covers featuring illustrations of animals, characters, and colorful designs.

Baby Books & Board Books (eg: Eric Carle, Sandra Boynton, flap-books)

Collection of children's books about counting, racing cars, ants marching, and farm animals.

Preschooler Books (eg: ABCs, counting, simple stories)

Collection of children's books about animals, adventures, and learning. Titles include "Songs of the Birds," "One Little Fish," "This Book Will Make You," and "Ancient Egypt."

Non-fiction: Dinosaurs, animals, nature, space, Egypt, Cars, soccer, basketball

WHERE TO DONATE

The Book Bank is only able to accept books at our warehouse (shipping bay beside 334 Bleecker St. – see map) and at our Morningside location (more info below) on the dates and times shown.

Please do not bring book donations to our storefront at 585 Dundas St E.
