Book Bank Receives Donation of 1000 Copies of Dav Pilkey’s Cat Kid Comic Club

On April 16, The Children’s Book Bank Regent Park celebrated the power of reading with Mayor Olivia Chow and the talented cast of Cat Kid Comic Club: The Musical!

Thanks to the generosity of Mirvish Productions, Scholastic Canada and Dav Pilkey, The Children’s Book Bank received 1000 copies of Cat Kid Comic Club to give away in our spaces! We are so grateful for this incredible donation that is sure to ignite a love of reading for 1000 kids! Thank you to Hannah Mirvish, Kids Up Front Toronto, and The Daniels Corporation for being part of this special celebration!

We also had the joy of taking a group of young readers to see Cat Kid Comic Club: The Musical! This was made possible by Kids Up Front Toronto, Mirvish Productions, and Dav Pilkey, who generously provided us with 100 free tickets! Each child who attended the musical had the opportunity to read the book first! They had so much fun seeing how Cat Kid Comic Club was transformed from page to stage!
