I sit here writing this after eating a delicious glazed donut (2 actually) and staring at a dish of 8-layer dip and tortilla chips just brought in by one of our amazing volunteers, so the idea of running a marathon (5k, half or full) frankly scares the heck out of me. But this October 22nd, that is exactly what I am going to do. I will be running my first 5k as part of the Scotiabank Toronto Waterfront Marathon.
And I am hoping (and challenging) you to join me!
I will be blogging weekly about my journey from ‘Bookworm to Roadrunner’, sharing helpful tips to get you ready to run and posting some fun photos and videos to keep you motivated.
So I plan to enjoy this long weekend with a couple extra naps, because next Friday it starts…
